Andras Meszerics

(Hungaria/AUT)
Dancer, singer, poet, performing artist

Born in 1994, Andras Meszerics is a Hungarian dancer, singer, poet and performing artist. Early on he connected with the underground improvisational scene in Budapest, both in dance and in music. In 2014 he moved to Salzburg to study contemporary dance at SEAD (Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance) and he completed its undergraduate program in 2018. His multidisciplinary interests and artistic processes create works and performances in which the lines between poetry, sound and movement entangle and join, making ways and searching for an inter-relational perspective of the here and now. Since 2019 he has worked with Alexandra Waierstall, Sanja Tropp Frühwald, and Tomaz Simatovic.
